Although there is plenty of choice in the budget sedan segment for American drivers, Kelly Blue Book has recently ranked the Subaru Impreza Sedan as one of the best models under $25k. The Kelly Blue Book recently released their top ten list of best sedans under $25k and Subaru claimed two of the slots. The new Subaru Impreza and Subaru Legacy were ranked as not only affordable but with efficiency and stand out features to make a complete package.
Each of the 2015 models on the list have a starting price less than $25,000, which research indicates is the average price paid in the U.S for a midsize sedan. Other models ranked beside the Subaru Impreza, Australia based drivers will be aware of are the Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Mazda 3, Toyota Camry and Ford Fusion.
According to the Kelly Blue Book report, the new Subaru Impreza is the least expensive option available with all wheel drive. The report praises the Subaru brand for resale value and reliability, highlighting that driving enthusiasts also have the option of high performance variants such as the WRX and STi.
The new Subaru Impreza should prove popular since the new model has recently been updated. For this model year, there are some great savings to be had due to the Subaru price cuts. The entry level new Subaru Impreza now attracts an additional $500 reduction to a price of $22,990 drive away. These savings are available across the range, with the top of the line 2.0i-S available with a reduction of over $3,000 taking it to a price of $27,400 plus on the road costs.
There is plenty of gear and features available across the range. There are upgrades to the steering wheel switches, metallic highlights for the front door armrests and silver accents on the controls and vents for the air conditioning. The 2.0i-L has been renamed as the 2.0i Premium and it is packed with plenty of premium features including reverse camera, new 16 inch alloys and leather interior trim and steering wheel. The premium and entry level models also now feature a 6.2 inch touchscreen, while the top variants have a 7 inch display complete with satellite navigation. The 2.0i-S also benefits from additional USB connection and multi information display.
The power drivetrain remains unchanged for the new Subaru Impreza 2015 models. This delivers 110 kW power and 196 Nm torque from the four cylinder two litre petrol engine. The engine is paired to either a six speed manual transmission or the Lineartronic CVT automatic. As standard All Wheel Drive is also available as standard.
