The Subaru Outback Named 1st in Top 10 Hottest Cars of 2015

The new Subaru Outback 2015 was recently named as one of the hottest cars to date in 2015 by the website caradvice.com. This is very significant as the Australian SUV segment has been hotting up significantly in recent years. The competition is fierce and there are numerous promotional campaigns and other deals to motivate and tempt the buyer. So how is the Subaru Outback doing so well and what does it mean for the future?

Firstly let’s take a look at the sales figures. By this time last year, Subaru had sold 1,325 Outbacks. This year to date Subaru have sold 5,465 Outbacks. This equates to an increase in sales of 4,140 vehicles. This means that sales of the new Subaru Outback 2015 have increased by 312.5%! In real terms Subaru have sold four times more Outbacks to date than they did last year. In fact, the sales figures only just fall short of Subaru’s top seller which is the Forester by only 213 models sold.

This is an impressive increase in sales performance for Subaru Australia, but what factors have been key in this success story. Well, initially we have to look at the Subaru Outback price Australia based drivers have enjoyed recently. Subaru have been very competitive in their price structuring during 2015. Australian Subaru customers have also benefited from the price cuts derived from the Japanese Free Trade Agreement for added value. When the new Outback was launched last December the price cuts were announced immediately. This may be part of the reason why Subaru appears to have caught the competition napping.

Another aspect to consider is that the Subaru Outback is an excellent SUV that in a less competitive market would sell well on its merits alone. The entry level price is just $35,980 (demo car price) and you get a lot of car for your money. The Outback is not only aesthetically pleasing it is also a true driver’s SUV with fantastic handling. The powerplant is Subaru’s own designed 2.0-Litre horizontally opposed compact Boxer engine and it is mounted in the optimal position to provide a low centre of gravity. The Outback has a symmetrical all-wheel drive system and a ground clearance of 213mm ensuring that you will be at home when driving both on and off road. As with all Subaru cars the Outback has a five-star ANCAP safety rating and a rear reversing camera for your total peace of mind. All these factors make the Outback a perfect SUV vehicle that would suit a wide variety of drivers needs.

As far as the future goes things are looking bright for the Subaru Outback in the Australian market. If you would like to know more about the new Subaru Outback 2015, contact us.
